- Mojito, si Grande! While Ernest Hemingway was penning Old Man and the Sea in one corner of La Bodeguita Bar in Havana, a fellow visionary was creating the Mojito on the other side. Lyre’s White Cane Spirit, muddled mint and hints of sugar cane, a true mojito should be stirred using the bill of a giant marlin and enjoyed with a Montecristo rolled by Blackbeard himself.
- INGREDIENTS
- 180mL (6oz) Lyre’s White Cane Spirit
- 60mL (2oz) lime juice
- 45mL (1.5oz) white sugar syrup (1:1)
- 2 large handful mint leaves
- 4 lime wheels
- Top with soda water
- Method: Add ingredients in carafe, fill with ice, stir. Top with soda water
Glass: 1 litre carafe
